Day 1 – Arrival / Negombo

  • Meet & greet at Bandaranaike International Airport.
  • Transfer to Negombo, known for its lagoon and birdlife.
  • Optional evening boat ride at Muthurajawela Wetland Sanctuary for bird watching.

Day 2 – Negombo → Kitulgala (Rafting Adventure)

  • Drive to Kitulgala, the adventure capital of Sri Lanka.
  • Enjoy thrilling white-water rafting on the Kelani River.
  • Afternoon rainforest walk with birdwatching (spotting Sri Lanka Grey Hornbill, Layard’s Parakeet).

Day 3 – Kitulgala → Kandy

  • Morning birdwatching session near the Kelani Valley Forest Reserve.
  • Proceed to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka.
  • Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and enjoy a cultural dance performance.

Day 4 – Kandy → Udawattakele Sanctuary

  • Early morning birdwatching walk in Udawattakele Forest Sanctuary (paradise flycatcher, barbets, orioles).
  • Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens for flora and bird species.
  • Evening leisure at Kandy Lake.
    Overnight: Kandy

Day 5 – Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

  • Scenic drive through tea country.
  • Visit a Tea Plantation & Factory to learn about Ceylon tea.
  • Stop at Ramboda Falls for photos.
  • Evening free time in the cool hills of Nuwara Eliya.
    Overnight: Nuwara Eliya

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya → Horton Plains → Ella

  • Early morning excursion to Horton Plains National Park – trek to World’s End and spot highland birds like the Yellow-eared Bulbul & Dull-blue Flycatcher.
  • Continue to Ella via scenic train ride or drive.
  • Visit Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak.
    Overnight: Ella

Day 7 – Ella → Yala National Park

  • Transfer to Yala National Park.
  • Evening Jeep Safari in Yala – search for leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and over 200 bird species.
    Overnight: Yala

Day 8 – Yala → Bundala Bird Sanctuary → Bentota

  • Morning birdwatching safari in Bundala National Park, a Ramsar wetland famous for flamingos and migratory birds.
  • Continue to Bentota for a relaxing evening by the beach.
    Overnight: Bentota

Day 9 – Bentota (Leisure, River & Turtle Hatchery)

  • Morning Madu River Boat Safari – explore mangroves and spot kingfishers, cormorants, and eagles.
  • Visit a Turtle Hatchery and enjoy optional water sports (jet ski, banana ride, snorkeling).
    Overnight: Bentota

Day 10 – Bentota → Colombo / Departure

  • Drive to Colombo.
  • Short city tour – Independence Square, Galle Face, and local markets.
  • Transfer to the airport for departure.
